One of the most exciting opportunities you have during middle school is to explore options for various careers. While no one expects you to decide right now what you want to do for a living when you're older, you can learn about yourself by taking some fun surveys and using the results to explore which careers may appeal to you.
Taking time now will also help you plan your high school class schedule so that you have many choices when you graduate, rather than just accepting whatever comes your way because you missed gaining the necessary knowledge or credentials. For example, if you determine that your dream career requires a degree at a four-year college, there are classes you will need to start taking as early as the ninth grade.
The best way to meet your goals is to look at options and create a plan to achieve the desired result.
